The comic world(hell, even the rest of the world) is going ga-ga over the latest film adaption of a Moore masterpiece. Fans and casual viewers alike gave mixed reviews; purist fans despising it, laid back fans loving it, confuzzled people who haven’t read the comic book going “BUH?”, and then there’s the people who only went there to see Dr. Manhattan’s Blue Dong. We(the fans) can nitpick all we want, that is what we do after all; but whatever your take on film is, you can’t argue that it was damn entertaining. When I Gibbons drugs and abducts Moore and tapes his eyes open to watch the film in the near future, Moore will have a hard on.
I don’t think I’ve said SPACE WANG enough. Never enough. So before we move on, let’s try to get this out of my system, shall we? Above is a comparison between the film adaptation and the graphic novel. The scene where Jon Osterman first fully appears as Dr. Manhattan. Notice that the movie dong is larger than the comic dong. Fascinating, isn’t it? Yes, I just tricked you into staring at two blue penises.
