So, more art, allegedly from the Green Lantern movie, surfaced. These are apparently concept art and like the previous batch of images, they’re depicting how the characters will look like in the movie. Now we have Sinestro and a Guardian of the Universe. The Guardian picture is consistent with the previous ones, and Sinestro’s artwork looks a bit different.

From Latino Review:

Of course, there’s a catch. I can’t find any site with an official source confirming that this is indeed concept art from the film, but a person on TheGreenLanternCorps.com’s forum stated that they knew an unnamed source who had stated these images were concept art from the movie.

Now with that caveat in mind, let’s check the images! Read the rest of this entry »

I don’t know if these are real or not, but I’m blown away just the same. Apparently, Green Lantern movie concept art has been leaked and… Christ, it’s perfect. I’m going to shut up now and I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves:

If these are indeed the real thing, then I can say that they are getting it totally right! Unlike the abomination of the previous concept art that was going around the internet before, they’re actually using the classic costumes! I like this. I hope this is indeed legit, and the movie becomes awesome.

By the way, those images came from Cosmic Book News, where they also managed to somehow get their hands on a GL script. They’ve posted a spoiler-filled summary of the script. Again, take it with a grain of salt.

What do you guys think? Is this the real thing? Or is that dude just pulling our legs? Tell me all about it by leaving a comment!

I may be indifferent to most of Mark Millar’s works, but Kick-Ass is one of my favorite comics. I just find it funny how the movie gets finished first before the graphic novel. I’m pretty sure all of us comic book nerds have dreamed of going out in a costume and fighting crime. In fact, you can all place bets on which Comicgasm writer will snap first and do a Kick-Ass! (My money’s on Fiel)

Speaking of the Kick-Ass movie, here’s the trailer. Relish it. It’s fucking awesome.

Kick-Ass, directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, opens in April 2010.

Yes, you’re looking at Batman and Robin looking down at two women holding their crotches. And yes, it is exactly what it looks like. Read the rest of this entry »

So I just finished watching Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and I totally wish I could say it rocked on every possible level. I mean, I’m the easiest-to-please comic book fan in the world. Just look at me loving the shit out of Final Crisis while the entire internet exploded in anger and demanded for Grant Morrison’s head on a silver platter. Well, fuck you all, I still love Final Crisis that I want to impregnate it and shit.

But yeah, again. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies disappointed me on so many levels I don’t even know where to start. So let me just rattle off whatever I liked and didn’t like. And be warned, there will be spoilers. Read the rest of this entry »

To quote this article from ComingSoon.net:

“Samuel L. Jackson has buried the hatchet with Marvel Entertainment, making a deal to play the role of Nick Fury in Iron Man 2, and potentially many other films.

Jackson’s deal is a long-term commitment to play Fury, the leader of the espionage unit S.H.I.E.L.D. His deal contains an option to play the character in nine future Marvel superhero films, efforts that are expected to include The First Avenger: Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, toplining a possible S.H.I.E.L.D. movie, and potential sequels.”

What say gentlement? Is this awesome news or what? HELL YEAH!
