Hey-yo! It’s Sunday you guys and as you all know it’s time for me to talk about comics that are over a few days old and most probably this review is of no use to you already. Yeah.

Ultimate Comics Avengers #2

I like where this story is heading. Okay, the fact that my favorite Marvel characters are acting like major dicks is still bugging me, but at the same time, it’s kind of growing on me already.

Anyway, the biggest thing going on for this comic is the direction where Millar is taking the Ultimate Red Skull. So he’s Steve Rogers’s illegitimate son, raised by S.H.E.I.L.D. to be the ultimate (heh) soldier and killing machine, and he turns out to be exactly just like that: by killing every S.H.E.I.L.D. agent in a five-meter radius.

This book is, well, a pretty stupid one. But compare it to Loeb’s Ultimates 3, this is high art. I’m just continuing to enjoy Millar’s subversion of the Avengers legend and I’m waiting to see where he brings the storyline.

Invincible Iron Man #17

After reading this comic, I am more than convinced that hot Natasha Romanoff and Maria Hill girl-on-girl action would be a good idea.

Oh yeah, there’s also a story, and it’s the usual excellent stuff we always can expect from Matt Fraction.

Red Robin #4

Finally, after being stuck in stupid-land for the last 3 issues, Red Robin finally picks up. Now we finally see part of the reason why (slowly growing insane) Tim Drake thinks that Bruce is not DEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD:

Seriously, the scene where Batman was drawing the bat-symbol on the cave is one of my favorite scenes from Final Crisis, and seeing it here gives me the happies.

Also, why does DC insist on shoving us 3 idiotic issues down our throats before giving us a good story? [see: Flash: Rebirth]
