I’m pretty sure you guys are all aware by now that us guys at Comicgasm are all huge Green Lantern nerds. And we’re obviously excited for the new Green Lantern Movie, starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Blake Lively (HHHNNNNGH) as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, and Mark Strong as Sinestro. Okay, we’re not exactly excited with the guy playing Hal Jordan, but Martin Campbell’s directing this, and if Casino Royale is any indication, this movie is going to be awesome.

A few months before, we’ve seen some concept art of the GL movie leak. We don’t know if those were the concepts they used for the movie, but they were awesome. Now, from MTV, we have here newly-revealed promo art for Green Lantern.

First, WTF? “Anyone can be chosen?” Are you kidding me? Maybe if they’re talking about humans not being worthy of becoming GLs, but excuse me, not anyone can become a GL. There’s willpower and all that shit. Also, I like the title logo; it resembles the current logo in the comics, but the lantern logo? There’s something wrong. And sadly, I can’t figure it out. Maybe it’ll grow on me after a while, but currently, I’m not too hot about it.

Also, there’s a teaser image which gives us a very liiiitle peek at Green Lantern’s costume:

Uh. Okay. I like the futuristic design of the costume (well, the small part of what we can see anyway) but, really, the green CGI clouds? I don’t know how it’ll end up well. But since this is just a teaser, we’ll get to see more in the future. I like the fact that this teaser is trying to look like one cover from Green Lantern #10 though.
