Welcome back! Don't forget to subscribe to the Comicgasm RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I totally forgot I was actually writing for this here blog for a while. Heh. Sorry about that. Now I’ll be updating Comicgasm with the help of my spiffy new laptop, so you can expect me to post here more frequently! Yay?

Siege #1

Finally! We’re at the end of Dark Reign, and we get to see Norman Osborn’s fall from grace. He and Loki engineer a disaster that rivals the Stamford incident in Civil War, and we see Osborn assembling the Dark Avengers and the entire freaking Initiatve taking on the floating city of Asgard.

Siege doesn’t offer much but face-melting action, and I don’t mind. Siege has never been advertised to be something else – *coughFINALCRISIScough* – and I was expecting explosions, punches, kicks, and nothing else from this issue. Awesome.

Red Robin #8

I was totally uncomfortable with the whole concept of Tim working with the League of Assassins, and because of that I really panned Red Robin every single time. Especially with Tim bordering on an almost Bruce-like insanity (we still don’t know how he figured out Bruce is still alive – that painting in the cave only confirmed his suspicions), he was seriously becoming a totally unlikeable character. Thank goodness this issue fixed EVERYTHING. We see that Tim still doesn’t deal with shades of grey. He singlehandedly takes down enemies that Bruce himself had never done in his lifetime. Also, the comic had a shitload of action and awesome face kicking, which is the only reason I read a Christopher Yost comic (see: X-Force)
