About last week’s stash.. I err, uhm… I BLAME SMARTBRO!
Now that that’s been cleared up, on to more important matters.
Blue Beetle #19:
This is part of last week’s stash, but I just realized that this is currently my favorite title. I think Jaime and Traci makes a good couple; and with Brenda around, tenenen! A love triangle! Sweet. He learns the value of pressure points, especially when fighting magic giant girls. I can’t wait for the Sinestro Corps tie-in next issue!
Countdown 30:
I enjoyed this week’s countdown much thanks to the Jokester. I hope he sticks around for the rest of the series, that way Jason Todd can actually have a reason to be angsty all the time. Well, at least they’re going to *interesting* earths now, here’s hoping that they end up in gender-switch earth next week!
Green Lantern Corpss #16:
I effing love this issue! For years, I’ve been waiting for at least one Green Lantern to go all out and bypass the no-killing rule. Then all of a sudden, ALL of them did it! At the same effing time! The tides suddenly turn and the sinestro corp’s front line are exposed to what they truly are: shock troopers and cannon fodders. With out their restrictions, the GL’s went Rambo and kicked yellow arse!
I love this panel, Sodam Yat is Hardcore! Just goes to show how awesome a Daxamite with a Power Ring can be.
JLA/Hitman #2(of 2):
Words are not enough to describe how awesome this is. Instead I shall weep tears, manly tears. ;_;
GJ Garth Ennis, GJ.
Nightwing #137:
Wow, just wow. I don’t think DC knows that we like our stories WITH RESOLUTIONS! Oh wait, there will be a conclusion to the story *if* we get the new Vigilante series coming out this December! What the hell DC, WHAT THE HELL!?
And what happened to Dick’s face? It’s creeping me out!
*sigh* [/frustrated Nightwing fan]
I noticed that they released the TPB of The Question: Zen and Violence, too bad I didn’t bring enough money(P1,100/$22 lol). I’ve been hearing nothing but praises for that book, I *might* come back and get it next week.
Here’s something from last week’s Countdown:
The Origin of The Joker.
If you remember(admit it, you don’t), I made an itty bitty rant about The Joker’s definitive origin in Batman Confidential #7 Well, guess what? They used The Killing Joke! Well, they used it as an example! The Joker’s origin is back to being vague and blurry as it should be! HA! Take that Confidential! Michael Green must be sooo pissed that his story was tossed aside just like that, they didn’t even include his definitive origin in the essential stories part! Kudos to Mark Waid for making it happen, sweet justice has been served.
PS. Actually, the blame for last week’s lack postage goes to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann’s finale. I made this post a tad bit early(but still late) before me and my tiny attention span completely forget about comics when Gundam oo comes out tomorrow.
PSPS. Good Lord, I forgot to get Detective Comics #837! I’m sorry Batman! I’M SORRY!!!
