Here it is. The first official trailer for the epic conclusion to the Chris Nolan Batman film trilogy – The Dark Knight Rises. It doesn’t give us much information about the plot – we just see a few flashbacks to the scenes of the first two films, a hospitalized Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) pleading with an off-screen Bruce Wayne/Batman (Christian Bale) to step out of retirement, and a few fleeting glimpses of the movie’s big bad, Bane (Tom Hardy).

Considering TDKR is going to open July 2012, I’m really surprised at how early this movie’s marketing push is. Also, it only started filming a few weeks back, and we have some climatic fight scene footage already! What do you think of the new The Dark Knight Rises teaser trailer?

If there’s one comic book movie geeks everywhere are looking forward to seeing, it definitely is The Dark Knight Rises. The final part of the Chris Nolan Batman film trilogy, Batman (Christian Bale) will face off against Bane (Tom Hardy) and possibly Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) as Catwoman. There are also rumors of a young Ra’s Al-Ghul, Talia Al-Ghul, and a Lazarus Pit in the film.

And now, Twitter user @simps just tweeted the teaser poster of this much-anticipated film.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. That is all I can say.

For those curious as to what Chris Evans – formerly Fantastic Four’s Johnny Storm – looks like as Captain America, Entertainment Weekly’s giving us a first look. You have to give Marvel Studios’ costume and makeup people credit here – he doesn’t look like a douchebag fratboy.

Aside from the duckface, hes pretty much what I thought Steve Rogers would look like. The modifications they made to the classic costume looks great too – it’s something that would work in the real world, while staying true to how it looks like in the comics. I just wonder why they decided to make the shield all rugged with those bullet marks, though. Anyway, there’s a great interview with Chris Evans on landing the Captain America on EW’s website! A few months back, we were able to watch Batman XXX: A Porn Parody. Aside from the part where the actors were taking off their clothes and fucking the hell out of each other, it was faithful to the 1960’s Adam West Batman show in almost every detail. The costumes, the little mannerisms of the heroes and villains, the groan-inducing (not that kind of groaning) dialog, and even the sets were accurate.

You can actually watch it while skipping through the sex scenes and end up with a pretty cohesive story. It was applauded by most fans of the TV show, even the ones who had no intention of watching people dressed up as their childhood heroes banging the brains out of each other. It goes without saying that it was a big hit, and in an industry where originality and quality aren’t the first priority, it won’t take long before we see superhero porn parodies show up.
