The first issue of “The Sixth Gun” published by Oni Press and created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt was made available to the public during Free Comic Book day. The first issue packed so much punch and made you want to read more which is a testament to how well-written it is.

REVIEW: Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #1

There’s really nothing much to say here. This issue is fantastic. You see, Batman just shows up immediately after the end of Final Crisis, emerging from the cave as the hairy-chested love god that he is…

… and he proceeds to wear a gigantic bat, and beats up a bunch of evil cavemen led by Vandal Savage. How could anyone not love shit like that.

Review: Siege #1, Red Robin #8

Finally! We’re at the end of Dark Reign, and we get to see Norman Osborn’s fall from grace. He and Loki engineer a disaster that rivals the Stamford incident in Civil War, and we see Osborn assembling the Dark Avengers and the entire freaking Initiatve taking on the floating city of Asgard. Batman #692

This is Tony Daniel’s first Batman issue. I’m really not too keen on reading his run on Batman because I’ve been left utterly unimpressed by Battle Of The Cowl.

And really, I am disappointed with this issue. There are quite a few problems with this issue – Daniel crammed way too many story threads. (continue reading…)
