Here’s what we at Comicgasm think of DC’s prequel to Watchmen: fuck everything about this.

Now that we’ve gotten the TL;DR out of the way, this is the expanded version.

We’re not even going to go into how DC screwed Alan Moore over. There’s a healthy debate about that elsewhere on the internet, and legally, DC can use those characters in any way they want to, because fuck creators’ rights.

As if we needed another reason to hate DC more, there are rumors of plans of a Watchmen prequel. Names attached to the project are Dave Gibbons, John Higgins, Darwyn Cooke, JMS, JG Jones, Andy Kubert and more. Honestly, even though Watchmen is DC’s property and they can do the fuck whatever they want with it, this is just so wrong on so many levels. You don’t need a prequel to the single greatest graphic novel of all time. Everything was explained clearly in the beginning of the comic, and we don’t need to know what happens. Not even if it means Darwyn Cooke wrote the script. No. DC, just stop it already. I admit, the reboot, as unnecessary as it is, worked for a bit, but it doesn’t mean you can just go and and raping all your properties. Because seriously, if there’s anything nobody should touch, it’s Watchmen.

This was supposed to be a Best and Worst Cosplay post, but I realized that two things: 1. Finding clear pictures of those undesirables would be very hard, since uhh, why would anyone take pictures of them? 2. I wanted to burn your eyes, but I’d have to burn my eyes all over again to do that.

So fuck it, here’s the best cosplay of Metro Comic Con. According to me, of course. Didn’t stay long enough to find out who won, didn’t really care.(but someone PLEASE tell me the watchmen group won plz plz plz)

Look at this ultra-detailed Comedian figure, made by the maddeningly awesome Hot Toys. This looks like it’s based on the Watchmen movie Comedian, not on his comic-book counterpart. Just look at the Jeffrey Dean Morgan likeness. Seriously, I want one. After which I’ll reenact the stuff he was most famous for: raping Silk Spectre I and shooting pregnant Vietnamese women in the face.

It’s rape-eriffic! I just wanna know how much I can’t afford it!
